Little libraries
Add a little library to the map
Standing at a little free library? In about a minute you can put it on the map and show readers nearby what’s inside. No account needed.
- Share where you are so we can pin it exactly
- Open the doors and snap a picture of the books
- Check the titles we find and you’re done
We only use your location to pin the library. It isn’t saved with your name.
Finding you…
If your phone asks, tap Allow.
We need to know where the library is
To pin it in the right spot, you need to be at the library with location turned on.
- Stand right next to the library
- Turn on Location for your browser in your phone’s settings
- Outside works better than inside
Good news
We actually have this library already
Do you want to update the inventory?
Great, we have your location
What should we call it?
Let’s see what books you have
Please open the doors and snap a picture. Get as many spines in as you can. A second photo is fine too.
We got your picture!
Reading the spines…
We’re searching for the titles. This takes a few seconds.
Here’s what we found
Does this look right?
Tap a book to leave it out. Your photo is saved with the library.
Thank you!
